Morning:

After arriving in Kars on the morning flight, we will be transferred from the airport to the city center with our guide and captain. Today, we will visit interesting examples of Baltic and Russian architecture, the photographic Kars Castle and important monuments of the city in Kars.

Noon:

After lunch at a restaurant where we can taste the famous cheese varieties of Kars, we will go to Kars Castle, which was rebuilt by Lala Mustafa Pasha in 1579 by the order of Murad III and was destroyed during the Ottoman-Russian war between 1877-1878. Then, after seeing the historical Evliya Mosque from the Ottoman period, we go to Boğatepe Village, which is also home to the first and only cheese museum in Turkey: a pleasant “Cheese chat” and tasting awaits us here. Boğatepe Cheese Museum has been the main production center of Gruyere cheese for about 130 years and Kars Kashar is famous and recognized due to the richness of the region’s flora.

Evening:

We will try local flavors such as tandır kebab and liver for dinner at a local restaurant.

Morning:

Today  outside of Kars, we will see the magnificent Ani ruins, which are on the UNESCO World Heritage List, Armenian churches, Malakan and Armenian villages, and Çıldır Lake with its unique nature… If conditions are suitable, we can take a pleasant horse-drawn sleigh ride on the frozen Çıldır Lake.

After breakfast at the hotel in the morning, we set off on a journey of approximately 1 hour with our guide to the Ani Ruins. We will explore a cultural treasure with its unique architecture, unique nature, magnificent monuments and ruins

Noon:

 We will try local flavors at a local restaurant for lunch.

 After lunch, we will travel for 1 hour to Çıldır Lake. Çıldır Lake is the largest freshwater lake and the second largest lake in the Eastern Anatolia Region. When we arrive at the lake, we can go hiking, fish, and enjoy sledding if the natural conditions are suitable.

After the beautiful time we spend at Çıldır Lake, our return journey to Kars will take approximately 1.5 hours.

Our dinner will be local delicacies such as Tandır Kebabı, ayran aşı, and etli ekmek.

Accommodation in Kars.

Today, we will visit the Sarıkamış Martyrs’ Cemetery built in memory of the soldiers who died in Sarıkamış in the First World War and the Katerina Hunting Lodge built in 1896 by the Russian Tsar Nicholas II in the pine forest and then go to Erzurum.

Morning:

After breakfast at the hotel in the morning, we will depart for Erzurum accompanied by our guide. After a journey of approximately 3 hours, we arrive in Erzurum.

Lunch:

For lunch, we will try Erzurum’s famous cağ kebabı, cızlak and cheese halva.

After lunch, we will visit historical places such as the famous Çifte Minareli Madrasa and the Three Tombs, which are thought to have been built between the 12th and 14th centuries.

After our Erzurum tour, our guide and captain will take us to Erzurum Airport for our flight to Istanbul.

We will arrive in Istanbul and be greeted at the airport by our captain and transferred to our hotel.
